🎮 1. Behind the Screens: How We Build Our Games at Eraflip

At Eraflip Gaming Studio, we believe that every great game starts with a simple idea — a spark of imagination that grows into something extraordinary. But what does the journey from concept to console really look like? In this post, we’re taking you behind the screens to show how we build our games from the ground up.

🧠 Step 1: Ideation & Concept Design

It all starts with a brainstorming session. Whether it’s a casual conversation over coffee or a deep-dive creative meeting, our team constantly throws around new game ideas. We explore genres, storylines, art styles, mechanics, and what kind of experience we want players to have.

This is where we ask ourselves:

  • What emotions do we want players to feel?

  • What makes this idea different from what’s already out there?

  • Is it fun? Challenging? Meaningful?

We sketch out characters, environments, and core gameplay mechanics during this phase. Once we have a solid concept, we move on to prototyping.

💻 Step 2: Prototyping & Early Development

Next, our developers create a rough prototype. This isn’t the full game — it’s a bare-bones version to test how things feel in action. Is the control responsive? Is the main mechanic engaging? Can we already see the “fun” emerging?

This phase often includes:

  • Grayboxing levels

  • Basic player movement

  • Testing animations

  • Trying out different UI ideas

Feedback is crucial. Everyone on the team plays, critiques, and helps evolve the prototype into something more refined.

🎨 Step 3: Design & Art Production

Once we’re happy with the gameplay, our art team starts bringing the world to life. We define a visual style, create concept art, and begin full asset production — characters, environments, animations, and more.

Meanwhile, our sound designers work on music and effects to match the mood. Every sound click, every background track adds depth to the player’s immersion.

🧪 Step 4: Testing, Balancing & Polishing

A game isn’t done until it feels right. We enter a loop of testing, feedback, and improvement. From internal testers to closed beta groups, we listen carefully to how players react.

We fine-tune:

  • Difficulty balance

  • Bug fixes

  • User interface

  • Game pacing

  • Frame rate and optimization

This is one of the most time-consuming parts of the process, but also the most rewarding.

🚀 Step 5: Launch & Post-Launch Support

When everything is ready, we launch the game with pride — but our job doesn’t end there. We monitor player feedback, push updates, and sometimes add new content. We’re here for the community, and we grow alongside it.
